About this deal

A common query with Oral-B toothbrushes is the sudden loss or inability to access certain cleaning modes that were once available. With the 2000 it is the rubber grip in blue or pink that contrasts against the white plastic body of the brush. Although there is a white gripped variant too. I too have seen some references to Daily Clean and Gum Care. If memory serves me correctly, there was some confusion when the models first launched, as previous iterations of these models did have gum care & Oral-B are not always very explicit about the modes. It will just say 2 modes rather than what they are. Reply In most instances just using an electric brush, twice a day, for 2 minutes each time, with the correct technique and a good toothpaste, your teeth may get whiter.

The supplied white charging stand has a 2 pin power adapter hardwired into it, with a cable length of about 90cm. It supports 220-240v.We are moving away from articulating the benefits of the technology from number of movements because the benefits we see with Oral-B iO come from a multitude of factors including the linear magnetic drive that delivers energy to the bristle tips, the increased density of filaments on our redesigned brush heads as well the synchronised cleaning action of oscillation rotation plus microvibrations. The different brushing modes and movements are differentiated by the oscillation angle (ie the distance that each bristle travels before it changes direction). Boris Atlas – Global Leader for Professional and Scientific Relations – Oral-B. There are brushes that are still compatible. Those compatible brushes have Bluetooth built-in. The Oral-B Smart 4 4000 or 5 5000 would be my recommendation. This article has more information. However, it does appear Oral-B is gradually phasing out support. So I can’t give an absolute 100% guarantee of compatibility. The configuration of each ‘Dental Care Journey’ is different. However, each one enables and disables different cleaning modes on the toothbrush handle. Sadly, Oral-B does not use the name of the mode, you need to remember what the icon is, to know what mode you have selected.

I brush twice a day for 2 mins, I use the timer as a guide for when to move on to the next section. Is the Therabody TheraFace PRO skincare device effective and worth the price tag? Find out in T3’s review A 2020 life-cycle analysis of electric toothbrushes found that the average brush is 11 times more impactful than a manual toothbrush. You may have the technique and routine nailed in which case the Genius 9000 and the extra movements it offers may bring benefits to yourself. Reply The number of times the brush head oscillates does depend on the model of the toothbrush you are using.

If you do have the newer Pro 2 2500 how long are you brushing for each time you use it? Is it 2 minutes? If your Oral-B toothbrush has only 1 cleaning mode, you cannot change it. This is the only option you have. The Cross Action, FlossAction, TriZone or Precision Clean brush heads are most suitable for this cleaning mode. You should imagine your mouth broken up into 4 sections. Upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. The idea is that you spend 30 seconds cleaning each section. The pacer helps you keep an even brushing time on these 4 sections. Together these add up to the 2 minute total. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 Electric Toothbrush comes with a travel case where you can store the electric toothbrush handle and two electric toothbrush heads. It is a pretty simple construction however it has some neat design features.

This does mean the handle is water resistant and can survive splashes of water or rinsing under the tap, the least you should expect from a toothbrush right?! Hi Jon . . . Just a question following my comments. I’ve got two slightly wobbly teeth, I’m wondering if an electric toothbrush will loosen them further? I would add that I do visit my dentist every 3 months so I’m not neglecting my teeth. He tells me that the loose ones often firm-up again and I have found that to be the case. But I don’t want to find that an electric brush whizzes so fast that I’ll be minus two teeth within days haha! Reply This is a superbly helpful article, cutting straight through the morass of often bewilderingly slight variations in serial numbers and contents. It’s great to know that, simply, anything with the ‘Pro 2’ prefix is the same handle doing the same job – the four digits[+letter] after it is merely a designator as to what bits and pieces (different brush heads, a case, a second handle) come in the box. Many thanks indeed! Reply With the introduction of the Oral-B iO Series comes a new way to measure the movements of the brush head. Let’s get one thing straight, you're not going to be blown away by the Pro 2 2500’s design. Because the toothbrush’s main body is a glossy white material coupled with a coloured rubber grip (our model was pink) that runs top to bottom down the brush handle, it does look a little cheap.
