The concentrate insert is a precision CNC machined aluminum oven that fits right in. Dual herb and concentrate devices are usually only good at one of the two (usually being the herb portion), but the PAX 3 is surprisingly good at both. While I don’t think that it’s as good as a dedicated concentrate device, it still delivers good enough performance that I didn’t mind using it regularly for my wax. PAX 3 Lip & Motion Sensing Pax 3 Size– I am actually happy they kept the same size because I really loved the size, weight distribution, and overall feel of the Pax 2. It also means aftermarket accessories for the Pax2 will work with the Pax3. When you hold the Pax 3 you will notice that it has a nicesolid feel with even weight distribution and no rattles or loose parts. The second purpose is for vaping herbs, which works just fine. Having it on Lvl 3 and “flavour”, which is just perfect for me.

Battery Specs– Another big area of improvement in my Pax 3 vaporizer review is battery life. The Pax 3 now has roughly 17% more battery capacity with 3500 mAh vs the 3000 mAh in the Pax 2.The mouthpiece is made from food-grade rubber that absorbs the heat, preventing your lips from getting too hot and unaltering the flavor of your vapor. Over the past decade, PAX has released three iterations of their award-winning vaporizer, starting with the PAX 1 in 2012. While the overall look of the vaporizer has remained the same, there have been significant improvements that are showcased in the PAX 3. The additions to the already sleek and simply designed apparatus are keeping the company at the forefront of weed vapes. I f one of the lights is lit, the lowest power setting of 360℉ (183°C) is in effect. When there are two lights on, you are vaping at 380℉, giving you bigger clouds than the first setting.

All three vaporizers have a conduction heating system, so you don’t have to use external heating devices like lighters and torches. Pax 3, Pax Plus, and Pax Mini have an efficient heating mechanism that will heat the herbs evenly without burning them and ruining the flavor. Cleaning all three devices is easy thanks to their compact design and detachable oven screens and mouthpieces, which are the main components. You can use cotton buds or alcohol swabs to clean the devices.

This will suit newbies but is not suitable for experienced smokers. The only great thing about Pax Mini is its size which adds to its portability. If we look at the Pax 3, it is much better than the Pax Mini, but the price of both devices is almost the same. So, if you buy Pax Mini, we suggest you go for the Pax 3.

Both the devices have almost the same temperature range of 182°C-215°C which in Fahrenheit is 360°F-420°F. Pax 3 and Pax plus heat up in 15 to 22 seconds, depending on your selected temperature. If we talk about the battery of all three vaporizers, Pax Plus is a winner with a 3500mAh battery. You’ll be glad to know that besides its smaller size, the Pax Mini has a 3000mAh battery, while the Pax, once called the iPhone of Vaporizers, has a 2500mAh battery. Once you have selected your desired temperature you can either long press the button again, or shake the device to resume heating. Build Quality– MyPax 3 has been on a handful of biking and skiing trips already but has yet to encounter any hard falls so myfinish is still in perfect shape. I will be going on some more biking adventures this summer and we will see how the finish holds up after another season. I do fully expect it to pass with flying colors, but I will continually update my review as I continue to use this vaporizer. The PAX 3 is one of the best looking portable vaporizers out there. It has a modern and minimalist design that avoids looking plain, while still remaining sleek and discreet. The design is really spot on; it looks good, but it doesn’t scream “Look at me, I’m a weed vaporizer” to everyone around you and that’s exactly what I want from a portable dry herb vape.The PAX 3 is NOT a cheap vaporizer, so you’ll want to take good care of it. Do all of the above and you’ll never have any issues with the PAX 3. It will run as good as new for years into the future, providing you with sweet, flavorful vapor. Just remember to charge it when you’re not using it and keep the bowl nice and clean!

Now the Pax 3 still won’t heat quite as fast asthe GH or Firefly 2 if you’re looking for an on-demand portable that you heat up for each individual draw instead of heating the whole oven for a full session. But it’s much-improved heat up time makes it the fastest heating portable conduction session vaporizer I have tested yet. Boost mode keeps the oven hotter for longer with less auto cooling. I personally like this mode if you are looking for a faster session, you are looking for denser clouds, or you are using the Pax with a water pipe adapter. Vapor quality varies from device to device and user, as some prefer lighter or mild vapors, and others like to get milkier, smoother, and bigger vapors.
