U stripovima mi je crtež uvijek bio manje bitan od same priče, no u Sandmanu je baš ružan koji god ga crtač crtao, a neki su i na granici amaterizma. Od nekih njeznih prekrasnih tipa Prica u pijesku- ma ono, nema ih niti u jednoj slikovnici, pa naletis na ozbiljni drustveni komentar na svega par stranica kao u Snu tisucu macaka, a nemali broj puta te prikuje za pod s totalno bolesnom, jeza uvrnutom pricom tipa konvencija serijskih ubojica ili Caliope i uvijek se vracas po jos.

A Tale of Two Cities looks fabulous and seems wonderous and mysterious in the way that some of the earlier stories did – indeed it has quite a sparkle about it, an a bit of a charm – but doesn’t really go anywhere (not that stories have to go somewhere). It’s a wonderful story about an individual who would not let himself be corrupted and perhaps the story to most overtly deal with that most patriotic of subconscious thoughts, the American dream.In comparison to the previous two Absolute Sandman volumes, the focus of this one is the regular story tather than the miscellany at the finale. A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. Dok grintam i gundam pritom ljuteci se na sebe sto si uopce dopustam grintanje i gundanje, dogadaju se Vjecni kao djeca, Kratki zivoti (u kojoj me potresa scena s Morfeusom i Orfejem - odnosno ignorantan komentar blentave bundeve), Ramazan koji je uvjerljivo najljepse vizualno iskustvo i takoder tragican da to boli, a onda i taj nesretni Kraj svijeta.
