Set 5 years after the events of DCeased, the survivors have fled to another dimension and reestablished a new generation of the Justice League. With the Amazos now on the loose on one side and the cure ready on the other, they seek a willing test subject and it's then decided that Barda would be the first. The first collection of DCeased was a limited edition Hardcover of 1,400 copies released for Local Comics Book Day 2019 featuring a cover with an infected Joker.

Don’t want to spoil it for the readers, other than to say that John Constantine and Swamp Thing play a big role (yay! If there’s a chance, even if it would require incredible sacrifices, would it justify the risk to explore the possibility? Sometime later, in the fragments of Apokolips, Miracle awaits the arrival of Metron and sure enough he arrives. One thing’s for sure, there isn’t much blame that can be put on the artists for this one for the quality of this story. I always say that I would rather have something leaving me wanting more instead of wearing out its welcome.In this 7 issue series, we see the surviving characters from the first series on their new found planet. The Superman family tearfully reunites while Damien breaks the news to Alfred that the Anti-Living could be cured, meaning he killed Bruce, Dick and Tim unnecessarily. Back in Metropolis, Superman takes Lois, Superboy, and Robin to the roof of the Daily Planet and realizes that everyone inside is infected. The orphans tell them that an unknown hero locked all the infected in a cafeteria and provided the children ample food before disappearing.

There are more touching and emotional scenes throughout the series which Taylor is just so great with, so it’s awesome to see him continue to execute that. Rose points out the infected sealed in the cafeteria, and the villains agree that they must be eliminated. DCeased: Dead Planet collects issues 1-7 of the series written by Tom Taylor with art by Trevor Hairsine. Their next stop is the Rock of Eternity, where John needed the Staff of Shazam, however because of Ravager's foresight, she warned of incoming danger.In Australia however, the League wasn't fairing well against the Amazos and it was in Magnus Labs that Cyborg infects the Amazos with a virus, which shut down all the other Amazos. Before Bane can pursue, Solomon Grundy arrives and rips off Bane's head and throws it at the infected. Though John put up a valiant effort, the artifacts he collected were not enough to take down Trigon and he was killed during combat. Cassie however in a state of disarray as she lost Wonder Woman twice because of the virus, but Damian assured her he was there for her, resulting in them kissing. As the days pass, the heroes in the Fortress of Solitude begin to hear a ringing in their ears before Luthor is suddenly bisected.
