About this deal

Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer is one of several primer options Aldi is selling for a limited time. There are different grades depending on the molecular weight ranging from very light, volatile, non-residue leaving ones to more substantial, slight residue leaving ones. There’s a blurring effect on pores too, particularly on the nose, so it will give you a temporary flawless finish. As far as skincare goes, sodium hyaluronate and hyaluronic acid are pretty much the same and the two names are used interchangeably. I’m not a big makeup person, so your mileage may vary with Aldi makeup, depending on how heavily you apply it.

In this case, mica is coated with one or more metal oxides (most commonly titanium dioxide) to achieve pearl effect via the physical phenomenon known as interference. Having used the more expensive original for a while now, someone could easily swap the contents of my must-have primer for Aldi’s version and I’m pretty sure I’d never even realise. The flaky areas were still flaky – but as my foundation dried it didn’t seem to look as bad as it usually does. The grapeseed is listed as vitis vinifera (seed) extract and the green tea is listed as camellia sinensis leaf extract.

It is a polymer (created from repeating subunits) molecule and has different molecular weight and thus different viscosity versions from water-light to thick liquid. I only ever use pore blurring primers on my cheeks or nose, and tend to prefer a more hydrating primer on my drier parts of my face, but if you have problematic pores, I personally don’t think the Aldi Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer will give you the same results as the Smashbox primer. Other tasks include helping the product to absorb faster and deeper into the skin (penetration enhancer), making the product spread nicely over the skin (slip agent), and attracting water (humectant) into the skin. The TL; DR version of HA is that it's a huge polymer (big molecule from repeated subunits) found in the skin that acts as a sponge helping the skin to hold onto water, being plump and elastic.A light-feeling, volatile (meaning it does not absorb into the skin but evaporates from it) silicone that gives skin a unique, silky and non-greasy feel. It is compatible with a bunch of cosmetic oils as well as active ingredients and its specialty is creating emulsions with super high heat and freeze stability (from -25 °C and +50 °C).

While we’d recommend using a flannel instead for a more thorough job, it works well to break down a full face of products in seconds, with a gentle but not overpowering scent,” our tester added. It is a multi-tasker used to improve skin feel, increase product slip, give the product light-reflecting properties, enhance skin adhesion or serve as an anti-caking agent. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .It’s quite silicone-rich, so it absorbs fast and leaves a velvety finish that we found worked best on combination skin,” they explained.

In recent months, beauty products have become big business for Aldi as it’s launched an impressive range of affordable dupes that appear to have take inspiration from some of the biggest names in the business, including Liz Earle, Pixi and Smashbox. Recently Aldi have been killing it in the game with their Lacura beauty range as they’ve came out with moisturizers, bronzers, primers, serums, masks etc. It can also function as a wetting and dispersing agent helping insoluble particles such as color pigments or inorganic sunscreens (zinc/titanium dioxide) to disperse nice and even in liquids. Aldi joked: “Get your skin looking picture perfect with this Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer. It has a tacky feel to it so I usually allow it to sit for a minute before applying my foundation on top.

Apart from leaving the skin soft and smooth (emollient), it's also used as a waterproofing agent in sunscreens or makeup products and as a shine enhancer in lip gloss formulas.
